Realizing without their existences we wouldn’t have fruits to enjoy and our world will be filled with trash as certain things can’t be break down or decomposed.

In benefits to learning and understanding more about these insects and bugs, the children have now learned to respect on these smallest living creatures rather than be afraid of it and instead getting rid of them.

As they now learned the importances of insects, It’s amazing to see their curiosity being expanded and the level of their thoughtful awareness of the environment have also increases eventually. As we were telling stories about spiders for the past weeks, we were fortunate enough to be able to show the students a real spider on its webs within our own Trihita Alam’s school compound. To relate that spider to the storytelling we have told them simply adds up a much fun learning experience for them all at the end. Besides that they were also able to identify the different kind of bees, butterflies, caterpillars and many more.. We are using different stories of insects as the mean of communication. From all the stories, stories from Eric Carle become the children most favorite one. – The Grouchy Ladybug – The Very Hungry Caterpillar – The Very Busy Spider The highlight learning about insects and bugs was the field trip to butterfly park recently. The students were very excited, observant and amazed of all kind of butterflies to be seen there. Especially in the ‘Pupa Room’ where they can see the complete life cycles of a butterfly. To be able to relate to those stories about insects and bugs which was told to them every morning in the past six weeks. more pictures here
